This is a home-made slapstick installation where magical realism meets extreme decor. It's a socio-economic critic of globalisation in ordinary households - in this case the flat I used to live in London circa 2012 - and how brands now operate way beyond their original geographical borders and tax residencies.
The project consisted of rearranging all the items in my flat based on where those goods were made, as opposed to their function.
The strange and impractical result can also be seen as parody of liberalism where companies engage in sometimes nonsensical cost-cutting practices on one side while their carbon footprint skyrockets on the other.
I'm aiming to take the same approach to other houses in order to determine the similarities and differences according to social, cultural and geographical parameters.
