My name is Rodrigo Lebrun,
I’m a Brazilian-born artist and researcher.
My medium is crisis.
I find the contradictions in structural beliefs that people take for granted, and push them until they collapse under their own weight.
Stock prices turned into porcelain swords. A tourism rebrand of a town that's both climate change's victim and perpetrator. An AI trying to make my face based on my own DNA breakdown and getting it wrong every single day.
The work is the act. The materials do the arguing: porcelain because it's power, old and new, dressed as elegance, advertising because it lies with smiles, AI because it pretends to know you and we, we pretend to believe.
